A few photos from our new Contax 645. The camera and lens combo of 80mm f/2.0 is so sweet, there are no words to describe.
These images were taken on expired Portra 400NC. Not bad for expired.

She is a Gorgeous kido!
i always like her style and admire her. Love you Emma??
gorgeous portraits, love the light in the second one
So beautiful! I was looking at your photostream this morning and just thinking about Emma or the lack of Emma photos and her photography! Hope you’re both fabulous!
oh! pretty woman!;)
I, too, was searching for an old favorite shot of Emma today, but all the photos are gone. Made me a bit sad.
Ahhh… I miss seeing photos of Emma. Gorgeous kid.
She’s a cutie! Better keep her under wraps.
lovely shots, the blues are beautiful. especially love the first photo
Jeez, just beautiful. I love the wind softly whipping her hair to the side. My Rollei has an 80mm f/2.8 – you just reminded me that I don’t take nearly enough tight portraits with it!
Hi Kim….I also need to remember to take tighter portraits. Srsly.
Thanks, Kathryn!
cindy,
her eyes, they are so beautiful. lovely photos.
xo
Congrats on the acquisition. I have two… One for color, one for BW. That is, when I remember to bring them with me ;-p
I haven’t seen a portrait of Em in a long time. Her face has gotten more round as she’s matured and now she even looks MORE like you. The chin. Holy cowzers.
Tight portraits are a little tricky with the 80mm as the minimum focusing distance is 28″. I picked up a 77mm Hoya close-up kit and LOVE what I can do with portraiture and that lens now.
Thanks, Christina!
Hey Kip! How was your trip?
Yes, even Emma has noticed that she’s starting to look more like me. Poor thing.
Good advice on the close-up kit. Will now be checking ebay. I just received the Pola Back for the Contax, then realized the rollers were missing. *sad face*
Our trip had epic written all over it… Just wish I hadn’t accidentally left my cam bag at home.
Highlights: Dinner at Rn 74, Morimoto and Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen, brunch at Bouchon and lunch at Bottega along with private tastings at Mumm and Conn Creek (which was a two hour blending session with 14 cabs and 4 blending grapes at our disposal to taste and blend from).
Oh, and shaking rump at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room until closing time.
Also tried siphon for the first time at the Mint BB after hitting MOMA for H C-B and the wine exhibit. The siphon was smooth, but I loathed the flavor of those beans. Alas.
that last shot is perfect; really utilizes the shallow dof to bring out lots of texture.
Aww, Emmuh. Gorgeous photos of the gorgeous daughter. You rock any camera you get your hands on, woman!
gorgeous series, love the blue tones
Beautiful.
Hi, really great photos and pretty girl as well. I observe and like it for years.
Greetings from Poland
Hi Cindy,
When I first saw these photos I gasped and thought your daughter looks so much like you! The look, the way she raises her eyebrow. Beautiful photos. I just love her hair movement.
these are fabulous
