I’m finally getting a chance to post on the blog again.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to post a few times a month or more.  We’re finally getting into a groove with Olive, especially in the evenings and I’m not always completely exhausted when it’s her bedtime. That’s  a huge milestone.

If you would like regular updates of Olive, follow her on planetolive.tumblr.com. Seth is really good about updating her blog a few times a week and his fantastic writing is not to be missed.

I’ve been shooting more film with Olive, funny, but when I was documenting Emma’s life, it was all on film until she turned 8 years old. That’s when I got my first digital camera. I’m glad I’m shooting film again, this time for my second daughter and my own enjoyment, of course.

Here are a few images of Olive when she was 8 weeks. All shot on the Nikon F100 with a 50mm f/1.4 lens.

Hullo, gorgeous. It’s funny how as she grows her eyes appear to grow too. She’s such a munch.

What a beautiful baby your Miss Olive is. I’m sure you get plenty of those compliments. My wife and I understand about getting back into the groove of things. We had #4 last year. My wife, Cherie, thought we were done with baby making being 48. It’s these little surprises that makes things very interesting.

Many blessings to you and Seth this Christmas season, and to Emma too. And, may you all have lots of fun with Miss Olive.

    Best regards,
    David

She’s so beautiful! And so are the photos. Belated congratulations!

  • She is adorable. What a lucky little lady to have such amazing documentation of her first days.

She is so precious. I love you photography Cindy.

The last one! She is so precious and I’ve enjoyed reading about her on her blog. It would be interesting to see how much your eye has changed as well from when Emma was a babe to miss olive.

to little sister Olive.

Emma is “over the moon” (her words) about the arrival of Olive. She text’d me today and said she’s obsessed with looking at baby clothes on-line. Emma thinks that Olive should have a pair of baby-sized Toms shoes. I reminded her that the baby wouldn’t be able or need to wear shoes for awhile.

I remember a month ago, we watched the documentary “Babies” together and she said, I wish Olive was here already. I do too. But, Olive needs to bake in the oven for at least six more months. :)
