Whenever we visit the Outer Sunset, we always pop into The General Store SF. The store is stocked with unique finds, vintage items, ceramics, etc. It doesn’t matter if we are there to make a purchase or not, the backyard is our final destination once we make it to the back of the store. Perfectly sized, landscaped for the cold ocean climate, so incredibly well curated and the greenhouse as the main feature. We enjoy eating out on the deck and letting Olive roam around. I’m pretty sure we never leave without taking at least one photo. If you’re ever in the Outer Sunset, The General Store is a must visit.

some images from a day with my lovely friend Chrystine. our kids play together, we talk about photography, food, coffee, tea and photography. it’s always fun and relaxing. Chrystine is a fellow photographer, it’s natural we bring out the cameras, set up a few scenes to shoot or we just let it happen with kids running around. sometimes, a certain cat will get in on the photo action too.

some random images from a roll of expired fuji npz 800. a lovely little gift from my friend jen sosa.
hope everyone is having a great start to 2014.
There are a couple of public gardens that I love to stroll through and photograph. I had some time to spare before a meeting a couple of weeks ago and visited a favorite down on the Peninsula, it was late morning and very bright out, but I made the best of it and shot a roll on my Hasselblad. I would love to get back to the garden, during magic hour light when the sun isn’t shinning down so harsh and the light is even.

Recently, I spent an afternoon with my lovely friend Chrystine, we’ve known each other since the early days of Flickr when she still lived on the East Coast. She now resides in the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. We don’t get together as often as I would like, but I’m hoping to change that fact with more planned visits.
Chrystine loves photography as much as I do, in her words, she lives to shoot not shoot to live. We both love analog photography, expired film, photographing our children and our daily lives. This blog post is to announce that Chrystine and I are working behind the scenes on a collaboration, a personal project. More information to come soon and photos too!
See more of Chrystine’s work here and here.
