a day at the beach
We are currently experiencing a heat wave in San Francisco, which is rare for this time of year. Summer is usually our winter, foggy and grey days. With these warm (hot for us san franciscans) days the beach is the place to be and we went to enjoy the sun and heat in Half Moon Bay, which is even more foggy than SF in the summer.
These photos were taken on the Nikon FE2. Dave Handler of Photoworks let us borrow an old manual focus 35mm f/1.4 for the weekend and the FE2 was the only camera that could take the lens. There was half a roll of used Acros 100 loaded in the FE2, but we didn’t know it at the time. Ah, the element of surprise shooting film. It was a super bright day and I shot wide open at f/1.4 as per my style, luckily film is forgiving.
