My new favorite brunch spot, is Bar Tartine. It’s not the traditional brunch menu, which is refreshing. They offer up open faced sandwiches (Smørrebrød), regular sandwiches (nothing regular about these sandwiches), langos (fried potato bread), chopped salads, snacks (like tartine bread, butter and apricot jam), soups and dessert. We haven’t enjoyed the soups or desserts, yet. I want to go back every weekend until I’ve tried everything on the menu. Glutton.


Today, we shared the delightful chopped salad of beets, avocados, cucumbers, grilled onion, walnuts, pickled grapes, yoghurt. Also, shared was the tartine bread snack with butter and apricot jam and the Smørrebrød with goat cheese, broccoli, onion jam, chili. All incredible. So incredible. Unlike, their bakery, it’s still possible to just walk in, order and dine. Or maybe, we have been lucky the last two visits and have hit them after the rush. Thank goodness for luck.
